Please Proceed Mr. Speaker…..

By Jueseppi B.

When President Of The United States, Barack Hussein Obama, says “please proceed”….to whomever he speaks those two words, they are in deep doo doo……Remember Willard Mitt Romney…..

This man, Speaker John Andrew Boehner, is the 61st and current Speaker of the United States House of Representatives. A member of the Republican Party, he is the U.S. Representative from Ohio’s 8th congressional district, serving since 1991, … in deep doo doo.

From the Huffington Post Earlier Today:

House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) put the onus on President Barack Obama on Thursday to come up with a “serious” fiscal plan while expressing confidence that he could deliver on whatever promises he makes in cutting a deal with Obama.

The Ohio Republican’s comments came as the House GOP moved ahead with its “Plan B” approach to averting the so-called fiscal cliff, with votes scheduled on the measure Thursday evening. The plan extends Bush-era tax rates for people earning $1 million or less a year.

Boehner was asked to respond to the White House’s charge that the only reason he is resorting to “Plan B” is because of the opposition he faces within his caucus for his own proposals in fiscal cliff negotiations with the president.

“The president knows that I’ve been able to keep my word on every agreement we’ve ever made,” Boehner said. “The fact is that his plan is not balanced and as a result time’s running short. I’m going to do everything I can to protect as many Americans from an increase in taxes as I can.”

For his part, Boehner accused Obama of being the one facing problems from members of his own party.

‘Plan B’ Vote Postponed In House

John Boehner Holds Press Briefing At US Capitol

House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) failed to muscle a controversial fiscal cliff fallback through the House Thursday night, suddenly pulling the bill after spending almost week on a plan that Democrats called a waste of time.

The failure to bring the measure to a vote kills Boehner’s “Plan B” and moves the nation one large step closer to the so-called fiscal cliff looming on Jan. 1, when a combination of tax hikes and spending cuts are set to start kicking in. It also marks a major setback for Boehner, who was unable to marshal enough of his fractious, Tea Party-inspired members, even after he and other leaders had pledged earlier in the day that they would succeed.

“The House did not take up the tax measure today because it did not have sufficient support from our members to pass,” Boehner said in a statement. “Now it is up to the president to work with Senator Reid on legislation to avert the fiscal cliff. The House has already passed legislation to stop all of the January 1 tax rate increases and replace the sequester with responsible spending cuts that will begin to address our nation’s crippling debt. The Senate must now act.”

“Merry Christmas,” said Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.)
