I do not like Snakes

.
I do not like snakes
Either real nor fake
Or at the lake
Or hanging around a birthday cake
At the end of a garden rake
For heaven’s sake
I do not like snakes
Inside a swinging tire, my false bravado will expireI do not like them in a tree
Or when they stare at me
Never do I sing in glee
About a snake slithering towards meSnakes in a zoo or on my lawn, see one snake and I will be gone
Black snake, garden snake or rattle snake
I succumb to my childish fear
As it is always followed by,
“Get me the hell out of here!”
