Dark Side of the Moon

Foamy water laps my feet as if to say hello
Wet sand crunches and shifts beneath my weight
Your sweet voice sings to me
Accompanied by the waves and shore birds
Gusts toss your curly hair amok
Sunlight reflects from off your glasses
Beaming half as brightly as the eyes they shelter
I look behind me to see the marks we’ve made
But only one set is there
For thoughts of you do not leave footprints
Someday I will not walk alone
