Counting Calories: Gigantic Waste Of Time

Why Counting Calories is a Gigantic Waste of Time – Wonder Fabi

First a schedule update

Before I get to this wonderful article by Wonder Fabi, I wanted to update you all on my schedule for the next month.  I’ve given this lots of thought and decided to take some time off, for next month, from writing my big blog articles.

In June, I cut my schedule in 1/2 because for a few reasons. First, my son is home for the summer, and second, my classes are getting harder, so I need extra time to study. Even after cutting my schedule in half, I am still writing 1 big article a day, along with 2 on Mondays and Fridays.

As it turns out, this is still a bit too much for me. I’m unhappy with the amount of time I’ve been able to study and spend time with my son, not to mention my disastrously messy house, among so many other things! My son goes back to school in just three weeks. So, with summer quickly coming to a close. My heart told me it’s time for a change. (I always listen to my heart)

My blog means the world to me, and, as a result, a lot of time, research, care and effort goes into every article. I want to make sure I’m giving you guys the best information I can. I was always taught that if you’re going to do something, do it right or don’t do it at all.

So, for the next month, starting tomorrow,

August 9 to September 10, 2017,

my schedule will be as follows:

  • HEALTHY COOKING TIPS – Monday through Thursday mornings
  • INSPIRATIONAL QUOTES – Monday through Friday Evenings
  • MY WEEKLY FOOD JOURNAL – Every Monday evening
  • HAPPINESS IS… – Every Friday Morning
  • “Just Thought You Should Know”  on occasion
  • Have You Seen This?“. on occasion

All other

regularly scheduled articles will stop.

I will be back, per my normal schedule, on

Monday, September 11, 2017.

Now onto the main article:

I had planned on posting a HOW TO EAT HEALTHY article on calorie counting, (and why you shouldn’t bother) today. However, one of my fellow bloggers has already eloquently written an article on just this topic.

Fabiola from Wonder Fabi, is the mother of 3 from Mexico. Five years ago, she began her own fitness journey, with fabulous results! She changer her lifestyle from sedentary to healthy and is 55 pounds lighter. Here are some of her own thoughts about her journey:

“It’s true I don’t have six-pack abs and I still carry a belly pooch, but I am healthier and happier than I’ve ever been. I am still on the journey, and I don’t plan on giving up. Staying fit has become my new way of life!”

Fabi has been a huge supporter of my blog, both on WordPress and social media. Before we get to her article, I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you. Fabi you are amazing!  Thank you so much for following me and for all of your phenomenal support!

Fabi has written a wonderful article called “WHY COUNTING CALORIES IS A GIGANTIC WASTE OF TIME”. I love it and agree, 100%, with everything she said. I will be writing another article of my own later, detailing some science behind why it doesn’t work, but, for today, I wanted to share her article with you.

HERE IT IS!

It’s often claimed you’ll lose weight if you eat fewer calories, but is this really the case? Personally, I’m not a fan of counting calories, and here’s why.
