Nassau Suite Hotel, Miami Florida.

NASSAU SUITE HOTEL

Hello there everyone, as if I haven’t already bombarded you enough with Miami related posts, I still have some more I can share. Today I will be reviewing the hotel I stayed at while I was in Miami Beach. The hotel my boyfriend and I stayed at is called Nassau Suite Hotel.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

Built in 1936 and considered to be a National Historic Monument.

LOCATION:

1414 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach Art Deco District

AMENITIES:

  • Continental breakfast every morning
  • Unlimited Wi-Fi
  • Beach chairs
  • Beach towels
  • Business center
  • Gym
  • Private movie theater

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

When I first saw the hotel I wasn’t overly impressed because it looked very simple with a light blue stucco and white trim. The front of the hotel was covered with windows and had a patio; on the patio there were several tables and chairs and a couple of vases with plants. Although not lavish in any way, I really did like how calming and cozy the hotel looked.

Upon entering the hotel I was blown away by the chilled out vibe given in the lobby. To the right there was a white seating area that looked basically like a bed with bright orange pillows; to the left there was a large dinning table and fireplace and forward there was the front desk. We checked in and were told we were on the second floor, there are only three floors by the way.

We took the elevator because we had luggage that we thought was heavy for the stairs but we quickly regretted it because the elevator was tight, scary and very old. Once we got to the room we were happy with what we saw in terms of it looking like the photos. To the right there was a galley kitchen that was awfully tight for two people, there was also a full size fridge and stove as well as a sink and microwave. In the cupboards there were plates, cups, mugs, pots and pans along with utensils. Across the kitchen there was a small table with two chairs. There was also a sofa, TV and a king sized bed. The bathroom was only the shower and toilet and the sink was outside the bathroom. Next to the outside sink was a massive walk in closet which I honestly wish I had at home.

A CLOSER LOOK:

CLEANNESS:

At first look our suite looked very nice, cleaned and polished however taking a closer look at it I did find a few spiderwebs, never found spiders but I did find quite a few spiderwebs which isn’t a huge deal however I would prefer if they weren’t there at all. The cleaning service did come by one of the days we were there and they kindly gave us fresh towels, sheets and cleaned up our kitchen which was very satisfying to walk into when we came back.

GYM:

The gym is a decent size given the overall size of the hotel. The gym has dumbbells, a treadmill and a few other machines I have no idea the name of. The gym looked clean and was empty whenever I would go in the morning.

BREAKFAST:

Each morning they had continental breakfast in the lobby which consisted of bananas, apples, orange juice, apple juice, milk, cereals, coffee, tea, toast, bagels, croissants, donuts and other baked goods. Overall, the breakfast was pretty good.

BEACH CHAIRS & TOWELS:

I absolutely loved the fact that our hotel gave us both chairs and towels each time we went to the beach, this was great because we didn’t have to worry about bringing our own or washing our own things.

OVERALL THOUGHTS:

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was lovely, the place always smelled cleaned and fresh and overall the stay was comfortable. I will admit, I was a bit jealous of some of the other hotels when we walked by because they had these massive pools and fun outdoor bars and ours did not but overall I was happy with my stay.
