A brief history
Living in a culturally rich state, my daughter’s father and I agreed, when she was young, that we would teach her all we knew about her states culture. The epicenter of our state’s culture is in New Orleans. For multiple reasons, we decided that she would not be mature enough to appreciate what she was being taught until she was 10. This decision came with an agreement that she not be exposed to all that is New Orleans until this age as well. For her tenth birthday, she was taken to spend a week in New Orleans doing all of the educational tours available. For the first time ever I too experienced New Orleans from an educational viewpoint. This above picture was taken six years ago on a Swamp Tour.
For the visually impaired it is the head of an alligator emerging from the swamp.
