“यत्र नार्यस्तु पूज्यन्ते रमन्ते तत्र देवता:।
यत्रैतास्तु न पूज्यन्ते सर्वास्तत्राफला: क्रिया:।”
“Yatra naryastu pujyante ramante tatra Devata,
yatraitaastu na pujyante sarvaastatrafalaah kriyaah” is an often-quoted. Manu’s saying. Manusmriti (3.56) – which translated reads,
“Whenever women are given their due respect, even the deities like to reside there and where they are not respected, all actions remain unfruitful.”
In other words:
“Where Women are honoured, divinity blossoms there, and where ever women are dishonoured, all action no matter how noble it may be, remains unfruitful.”
