In the kitchen – Kristiana Reed

Blood Into Ink

sink-2770890_1280

I’ve wasted hours

stacking shelves

with not good enough.

I’ll never get into bed

to be ready on time

with washing up

this tight chest,

teetering on an invisible edge

restless.

helpless

pacing with my loneliness.

I found old CBT diagrams I drew to cope with anxiety attacks.

I decided to turn them into poetry instead of painful memories.
