Casual glances

Lingers from the master

Simple brushes that make my heart beat faster

Turning seconds into hours when you are next to me


And then… there it is again

The drumming in my chest

The droplets on my hands

I try and I can’t

Act like I’m not at all shaken

When you are this close to me


My days are longer when I’m absent from your presence

Causing me to look among a thousand items

For just once that can appease

My agitated essence

But there’s just one thing

I have yet to decide

How to proceed

Or even how to start

How can I tell you about the disturbance you’ve caused in my heart?
