Spilled Coffee Beans

I didn’t know my heart was at stake when you came into my life

Your honey, too sweet not to dip into

Smooth and sweet just like your lips

But, I should’ve known that it only could’ve gotten that sweet from picking the pollen out of beautiful flowers like me 

And yet, blindly, I filled myself with the lies you gave me 

You always ha da talented tongue and your words set parts of me I didn’t know I had alight

But, I should’ve known that you could only have lit me up by leaving darkness in the hearts of all the girls who fell before me

That talented tongue that slipped effortlessly inside my mouth

You were an artist, your talented tongue, the paintbrush effortlessly slipping inside covering every square inch, my mouth was your canvas and I, was your masterpiece 

Or at least I thought I was
