The latest issue of Caribbean Beat (#152) July/August 2018 is out. As always, this issue offers an assortment of interesting articles about the region including Caribbean events happening this summer, music and book reviews, information on natural treasures, such as Waitukubuli National Trail (the jewel in the Dominica’s ecotourism crown) and a section on images of the Caribbean’s most extraordinary places.

Issue 153 contains several articles on visual and performance arts focusing on: the artworks in “Relational Undercurrents: Contemporary Art of the Caribbean Archipelago,” an exhibition presently on view in New York City; Barbados’s annual AnimeKon; a Q&A with Matthew Smith, director of a new Walter Rodney documentary; and a review of Trinidad and Tobago’s soca star Nailah Blackman.
