Shattered Parts

Go Dog Go Café

Today should just end.
Like the way those flowers did as I threw them in the trash.
I should have known you’d already have three vases full.
There’s no room for an attempt, just as there wasn’t room in the trash can for those wild flowers.
I’m not sure what was more embarrassing, you watching me cut my hand open as I picked up shatter glass, or me happening to see you pull broken flowers from the bin.
